    • David McKeen had been joined in May 1804 by his brother John McKeen 2nd (who was married to Elizabeth, a daughter of Dr. John Harris, a pioneer doctor in Nova Scotia.)

      John McKeen was born in Connecticut State, of John McKeen and Martha Kergill his wife, who removed to Truro, Nova Scotia in 1762 where he married Rachel Johnson, daughter of Lieutenant John Johnson of Truro and Sarah his wife, by whom he had John McKeen, Samuel McKeen, Adam McKeen, and Rachel McKeen. She dying he married Rachel widow of Samuel Archibald of Truro by whom he had William McKeen born in Truro the 4th day of June 1786.
